Charlotte Community Transitions

Charlotte Unplugged logoWould it not be wonderful to have a Charlotte community meeting house? A place to have a coffee, a hot chocolate, a pint or a glass of wine? A place for old fashion social networking, a place where Charlotters could meet and gather on a regular basis? A place that would welcome all members of the community, that encourages activities for all ages, offer affordable food and drink, invite artistic expression and performance and provide spaces for meetings, education, play and community services?

Charlotte Community Transitions, a new local non profit, welcomes everyone in Charlotte, from all walks of life, to a very special event, “Charlotte Unplugged, Connecting our Community” on Sunday June 2, from 4 to 8pm at the Charlotte Senior Center. This event is open to the public and free! It’s BYOB!!( yes, bring your favorite beer or wine) Shelburne’s Bread & Butter Farm will sell burgers, salads, cookies and non-alcoholic beverages. There will be fantastic entertainment, including the Starline Rhythm Boys, Jukebox Ferry and the Hokum Brothers.

Hopefully this event will capture the essence of what a Charlotte Coffee House or Tavern could be! We want everyone to come together to SHARE their IDEAS and VISIONS. We want to get as much local input as possible. We hope to take the feedback we receive and begin the process of bringing this dream to a reality!

Thank you for reading and hope to see as many people as possible! Spread the word!
